#RememberSerenate Campaign!

January 27 • Posted by Chelsea • Category: Gossip GirlNo comments

When I first read the article in EW about the 100th episode of Gossip Girl and came across the snippet about Nate and Serena not sharing any moments through the episode, I almost couldn’t believe what I was reading. The penultimate episode, number 100, that’s been hyped as having countless callbacks to the pilot doesn’t include the catalyst for almost everything that happened in the pilot? The episode that’s supposed to go back to GG’s roots doesn’t even mention the original OMG moment? How is this possible? How is a couple that has so much history, so many fans and so much potential simply excluded?! It makes absolutely no sense. And I think this is where we stop it.

Other fans think that Nate and Serena supporters have no voice, that we’re not loud enough. Although the media buzzes about them from time to time, we are rarely a trending topic on twitter, the writers rarely mention Nate and Serena in interviews and this couple that was once so strong and beautiful together suddenly seems so far in the past it’s futile. I say it’s not.

How about we come together on the night of the 100th episode and tweet our hearts out about Nate and Serena. Let the writers know that it’s completely ridiculous that they aren’t included in an episode that should practically be an ode to their sexcapade at the Shepard Wedding, since that’s the storyline that kicked off the entire series.

It doesn’t matter if you rant for tweets upon tweets or if it’s a simple #rememberserenate, however, I think it’s important that we let the writers know that we haven’t forgotten what these two shared and what they could share again, if only they’d wake up and get out of this incessant need to bring Dan and Serena back together for the 1000th time.

Nate and Serena have always been and should always be a part of this show, whether thats in a romantic capacity or something geared more towards friendship, it’s simply not fair that they were excluded from an episode that’s meant to callback to the beginning of the show, which, may I remind these writers, was full of Serenate. So, let’s show everyone how awful it is: on Monday, January 30th starting at 8PM, or even sooner if you’d like, tweet, tweet and tweet some more about Nate and Serena, using the hashtag #RememberSerenate. It could really do a lot to show these writers that we miss them just like CB fans do every week.

Pass the word on and let’s do this thang.

Thank you!

5×12 – Podcast: Father and the Bride

January 27 • Posted by Chelsea • Category: Gossip Girl, PodcastsNo comments

Welcome to the latest installment of our podcast series! This week’s episode of Gossip Girl was an enjoyable return the days of Nate being absolutely flawless, but as usual we started off talking about what we liked the least. It was an accident, I swear! I think we’re just fundamentally negative people. And fundamentally late people, so sorry about this week!

This week we discussed… uh, 5.15, first of all? Which isn’t the episode we were supposed to discuss, BUT BEAR WITH US. Then we got back on track and talked about Dan’s vows and whether they are relevant or worthy – as well as whether the vows we saw will be anywhere near the ones we hear; Chuck’s stalking whether it was more adorable than Blair’s drunken revelry or instead came in second place; and, of course, Nate’s perfection and how it isn’t marred by being desperately in love with someone who couldn’t care less about them, the way Serena’s is. If you have anything you’d us like to discuss in future episodes, or any comments about our comments, tell me below!

5×12 Sneak Peek!

January 21 • Posted by Chelsea • Category: Episode Clips, Gossip Girl1 comment

Hey guys,

I wasn’t planning on posting this sneak peek, because Serena’s nonsensical feelings for Dan make me want to punch babies but, she does mention Nate and I think it’s adorable that he was so encouraging towards her. As always, of course.

Enjoy!

Downtime: So sorry!

January 17 • Posted by Chelsea • Category: Gossip Girl, Site Updates, StaffNo comments

Hey guys,

I just wanted to make a quick post to apologize for the recent downtime of the site. It’s never happened before and I’m sorry about any inconvenience it may have caused. As most of you know, I am a struggling college student. In order to get the site back in working order, I had to pay a large and ridiculous fee. So, I’d greatly appreciate any kindness you guys may be able to spare by giving a donation to keep this site up and running. No matter how big or small, any donation is appreciated. Thanks so much!

The episode clips and screencaptures for this week’s episode will be added once I’m back and settled in New York. Hopefully by Monday. Sorry about the delay!

Podcast: 5×11 – The End of the Affair

January 17 • Posted by Chelsea • Category: Gossip Girl, PodcastsNo comments

Hey guys,

Here is the podcast for this week’s all new episode of Gossip Girl. You may think this podcast looks longer and juicier than the rest, but that’s mostly because we spend 30 minutes discussing our burning hatred of the plot devices used. Other topics include: the likelihood of Chuck committing suicide by the end of the season because the show won’t stop kicking him in the face, Serena and Nate becoming the smartest people on the show and how that might symbol the beginning of the Apocalypse, and how meeting Charlie Rhodes will at least give us one more opportunity to pretend Chace Crawford is our collective boyfriend. You may find some of these topics actually lacking in the podcast itself, but I promise we meant to discuss them had we not been to busy pulling our hair out in rage.

Enjoy!

Blake and Chace – Behind the Scenes – {Spoilers!}

December 10 • Posted by Chelsea • Category: Blake and Chace, Filming, Gossip Girl, Media, Spoilers2 comments

Hey guys,

I’ve added an absolutely adorable video that Chace recorded of an upcoming scene for Gossip Girl. It is spoilery. He posted it to his twitter account but it has since been removed. The bad news is that it looks like there’s more ridiculous DS coming our way. The good news is that Chace and Blake are absolutely perfect and hilarious at the end of the video.

Sorry guys, it looks like Youtube has taken down that video and try as I might to reupload it, it just keeps being taken down, but you can still download the clip below:

Right click on this link and press save target/link as to DOWNLOAD.

5×10 Clips and Captures Added!

December 09 • Posted by Chelsea • Category: Episode Clips, Gallery, Gossip GirlNo comments

Hey guys,

I’ve added six HD, logoless episode clips from Gossip Girl’s midseason finale episode: Riding in Town Cars with Boys to the media section.

I’ve also added 180+ HD, logoless screencaptures to the gallery.

Enjoy and please excuse the rant…

This episode was such a disappointment on so many levels. The lack of NS really astounds me at this point. They seem to be in the perfect place to try their relationship out again. Both have matured so much, and seem to seek the same thing in life. They want to be taken seriously, and now they are. They’ve become so much more then the Golden children of the UES always so prized for their beauty. I can only assume that the writers are determined to play out some ridiculous BDS triangle, and they need Serena on the hook for that. It’s a shame though because it’s totally stunting her. At this point there is absolutely no reason she should give one damn about Dan. DS has been ripped apart since the first season finale, but Blair has to be the final nail. Dan is more obsessed with and in love with Blair than he ever seems to have been with Serena. Her feelings for him make absolutely no sense in relation to previous seasons, her growth as a character, or their respective arcs in the long run. Plus, her feelings for him are so outrageously ridiculous and offensive to Serena as a character. He treats her like SHIT. ALL THE TIME. Even in this episode!!! I actually find the stark contrast between how he treats and views Blair to how he treats and views Serena astonishing. Nothing Blair does seems to phase him while EVERYTHING Serena does makes Dan upset and he continues to blame her for everything, just as he always has. Honestly, how can these writers actually believe that DS are a healthy, viable option at all?

Hey guys,

Here’s the latest installment of our podcast for this week’s mid-season finale.

At some point or other during this beautiful disaster of a podcast, we discuss: the likelihood of Chuck’s survival versus that of Blair’s baby, the batsh!t insanity that is Tripp Vanderbilt, how Derena 5.0 will fare in the face of Dan’s new lurve, and how Jane loves Ivy with the fire of a thousand suns and everyone else just makes fun of her for it. Plus! Lest I forget, Daisy shares her latest theory regarding Diana Payne’s involvement with Jack Bass. Because if she’s not Bart, she’s gotta be someone, right?

Clips and caps to follow soon.
Enjoy!
